I'm soon to embark on a month-long trip to the Land of Cheap Plastic, better known as China, and I expect nothing, as I have no idea what to expect, only that I'd expected to expect something. I can expect some inspiration from the 12-hour long flight, and time spent at the airport, and I can expect some inspiration from the streets of Vancouver, BC, which will be our first stop. I'm not ungrateful for this opportunity, I'm just not looking forward to it (and most definitely not the heat). At the least, it'll be a good cchange of scenery, because Oakville bores me to death. I'm headed to Waterloo University today, to do housing arrangements for my big cuz from half way across the world: China, the world's source of cheap plastic, (among other things). I've also been told I need glasses, so we'll probably be dropping by one of those funny smelling optics stores. But get this: I'd only have one prescription lens. Whoever it was must've dropped me with great accuracy, because my right eye is about 5x worse than my left (which, really doesn't have a vision problem).
